Every co-parenting app in this category except this one bills per parent.
So the honest question is not the sticker price, it is what the two of you pay together
in a year. Here is that number for each of us, with a link to every source and the date we read
it.
⚠ First, what we do not have. FamCheck has
no parent-to-parent messaging, no call recording and no tone-monitoring. If a court has
ordered you to communicate through a specific platform, that order almost certainly means one of
the others, and you should use the one your order names. We are a shared calendar and a record
of the schedule, that is the whole product, on purpose. Everything below is only worth
reading if that is what you need.
The yearly cost for a two-parent household

Cheapest published plan for each, annualised, doubled for two parents, as
published on 14 September 2026:
OurFamilyWizard Basic $110/yr per parent
(their pricing page);
TalkingParents Essentials $7/mo per parent
(their pricing page);
AppClose $83.88 per user on a one-year prepay
(their pricing page).
Higher tiers cost considerably more, OurFamilyWizard's own "most popular" plan works out
near $300 a year for two parents. Prices change and ours is the only one we control, so check
theirs yourself before you decide anything.
Who else has to pay
This is where per-household stops being a pricing detail and starts being the point. A real
week involves more than two adults.
Here, nobody else pays, ever. The sitter. Both sets of grandparents.
The aunt who does Thursday pickup. The neighbour who has your spare key. They get a link, they
see only the day they need, and there is no account to make and nothing to buy. If you have four
sitters on a rotation, that is still $9.99 for the month.
On a per-parent or per-user plan, every additional adult is either another
paying seat or simply not invited.
What is free here that is usually not
The second parent. One household, one price.
Read-only access for a guardian ad litem, mediator, parenting coordinator or custody
evaluator, with the case number on it, and an audit log of every view that
both parents can read. No charge to them or to you.
What a professional sees.
A certified copy of the schedule, which anyone can check at
famcheck.co/verify with no account, including the other
side's attorney.
Taking your data out, and deleting it. Export is offered before deletion,
not hidden behind it, and neither costs anything.
Printing a clean record for a hearing bundle.
What the $9.99 actually buys: several share links at once, push notifications,
your own private tab, and saved regular caregivers. Convenience, never the calendar,
never a safety feature, and never the way out.
What their own reviewers keep saying
We are not going to characterise anyone's product. But the complaint patterns on
these companies' own public review pages are consistent enough to be worth naming, and you can
read them yourself:
Being made to pay for something you did not choose. The most repeated theme across
all three, resentment at a court-ordered expense, distinct from the amount.
Per-parent billing, described as paying twice for one family.
Billing and cancellation friction, unwanted charges, autopay, refunds.
Slow or unreachable support.
Aggregates read on 14 September 2026:
OurFamilyWizard
on Trustpilot. These are their customers' words, not ours, and a review page is a
self-selecting sample, go and form your own view.
The only honest answer we have to the first of those is the one thing we can control: the
price covers the household, the core is free forever, you can leave with your data in one tap,
and a person answers the email.
Try it yourself, right now.One click opens a real demo family, two parents, two children, a month laid down, a sitter link and a guardian-ad-litem view already made. No account, no card, nothing to fill in. It deletes itself tonight.
When you should not choose us
Your order names a different platform. Use the one in the order.
You need messaging of record between the two parents. We do not have it and are
not pretending to.
You need call recording or tone analysis. Same answer.
We would rather you read that here than find it out after paying us.
